The IT Business Analyst for Finance Reporting & Analytics will collaborate with Eurofins’ finance stakeholders and IT teams to design, develop, and deliver financial reporting and analytics solutions based on D365 Finance & Operations data. The role focuses on gathering reporting requirements, analysing Eurofins business processes and D365 data structures, defining KPIs, preparing report layouts and functional specifications, and supporting the development and testing of reports and dashboards using D365FO native tools, as well as Power BI, Excel, and other analytics platforms.

Typical reporting areas include: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, AP/AR ageing, Fixed Assets, CAPEX, Cost Accounting reporting, Tax/compliance reports, and extensive intercompany and GL/subledger reconciliations.

As part of the D365 Centre of Excellence (CoE), the successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver standardised, scalable, and compliant reporting solutions across more than 40 countries. The position is transversal, contributing to global harmonisation of financial reporting and data models. Occasional travel for on-site workshops, deployment activities, and Go-Live support may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting & Analytics Design
You will gather reporting requirements from stakeholders, maintain the reporting inventory, design report layouts and KPIs, and translate these into clear functional specifications for Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools. All activities should align with Eurofins’ global reporting framework and standards.

Data Analysis & Modelling
Analyse D365FO financial data structures, validate data quality, support data extraction and modelling activities, and ensure accurate representation of key financial statements such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, as well as operational reports and reconciliations.

Reporting Testing & Release
Lead or support functional testing of reports and dashboards (SIT, UAT), document test scenarios, track defects, and confirm that reporting solutions meet accuracy, performance, and usability standards before release to production.

Documentation
Create and maintain functional documentation, including reporting specifications, data mapping sheets, row and column definitions, process flows, user guides, and test scripts. This ensures clarity, auditability, and alignment with global standards.

Project Delivery & Rollout Support
Support reporting and analytics workstreams during D365FO deployments and improvements. Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence, implementation partners, and country teams to ensure timely delivery of standardised reports across regions.

Training & Stakeholder Support
Provide training, documentation, and post-Go-Live support to finance users, helping them adopt new reporting solutions and ensuring stable operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience and a strong foundation in finance and reporting. A minimum of seven to eight years of operational finance experience is essential, gained in roles such as Reporting Analyst, Management Accountant, Finance Controller, or Business Controller within a medium or large international organisation. Hands-on experience in producing, analysing, and interpreting financial and management reports is the most critical requirement for this position.

You should have deep expertise in financial and management reporting, including the preparation and analysis of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, ageing reports for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, cost reporting, reconciliations (GL/subledger and intercompany), budgeting and forecasting outputs, as well as statutory and compliance-related reporting.

Strong proficiency in delivering end-to-end reporting solutions within large organisations is expected, using tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel. Familiarity with reporting in D365FO, AX2012, or similar ERP systems will be considered a significant advantage. Experience in leveraging ERP data structures for reporting or contributing to reporting workstreams during ERP deployments is highly desirable.

Excellent presentation and information design skills are required, with the ability to tailor report layouts, visualisations, and messaging to suit diverse stakeholder groups and varying levels of seniority, while ensuring compliance with Eurofins’ standards. A solid understanding of modern reporting and analytics tools, data modelling methods, and KPI design will be key to success in this role.

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, and proficiency in additional languages will be considered an advantage.

EMPLOYMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This role may involve occasional travel, typically between 20% and 40%, depending on the project phase. Travel could include visits to regional offices, subsidiaries, or project sites to support activities such as user acceptance testing, workshops, and Go-Live support.

The position is highly collaborative and transversal, requiring interaction with Finance, IT, external partners, and both corporate and regional business and IT teams within a multicultural and international environment.

Contracts are offered with a minimum duration of one year, with a strong likelihood of extension to two years. A B2B arrangement is preferred, and there is flexibility for hybrid remote collaboration with international teams. Permanent contracts may also be considered.

Professional development is a key aspect of this role, offering opportunities to deepen practical expertise in D365FO implementation and to participate in global rollout projects that have a significant impact across the organisation.

Success in this position will require strong communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and effective stakeholder management. The ability to balance deployment-focused tasks with occasional design, support, and advisory responsibilities is essential.
