What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated Payroll analyst to join our dynamic People Operations team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our fast-paced, global digital product company. Your primary focus will be on administering local payroll processes and all related activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting and Auditing: Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll reports for management review and submission to third parties, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Conduct comprehensive audits of payroll records to ensure compliance with SOX standards.
Collaborate with the accounting team to guarantee accurate input of payroll data.
Support the implementation of payroll controls to enhance overall accuracy and efficiency.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various departments to enhance payroll service performance, ensuring seamless communication and integration of payroll processes.
Serve as the primary point of contact to effectively resolve inquiries related to Colombian payroll.
Onboarding & Offboarding Support: Facilitate all People-related onboarding and offboarding activities within the team, ensuring a smooth transition for employees throughout their employment journey and payroll experience.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure that all social security documents and processes related to are complete and up to date.
Overtime Policy Management: Oversee the liquidation process for overtime policies, including controls, calculations, and necessary documentation to ensure accurate data entry and timely processing of final payments.
Collaborate with employees to resolve any questions related to overtime and its impact on payroll.
Withholding Tax: Reconcile and analyze payments for payroll tax withholdings, retirement plan contributions, and other deductions, ensuring compliance with statutory due dates.
Process Improvement Initiatives: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes and systems, driving increased efficiency and effectiveness in payroll operations and broader HR functions.
Provide support and participate in all payroll system upgrades and integration projects as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years in payroll or a similar administrative role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in software tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and SmartSheet, with the ability to create charts and spreadsheets.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
Payroll Software Knowledge: Familiarity with various types of payroll software.
Bilingual Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international work environment.
Continuous Improvement Mindset: Eagerness to find innovative ways to enhance efficiency.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.
Positive Attitude: A proactive and optimistic approach to work.
Educational Background: Experience in a People Administrative support role or relevant qualification is a plus.
Team collaboration: The ability to communicate effectively and coordinate efforts with others is essential to ensure accuracy and efficiency in payroll processes and talent management.
Assertive and effective communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and adapt messages to different audiences.
