We are looking for a Junior Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in Go (Golang) to join a growing engineering team. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable backend services with an emphasis on event-driven and streaming architectures.
Role Overview
As a Junior Go Engineer, you will work on backend systems that power core platform capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers to develop reliable, high-performance services while learning best practices in distributed systems.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Go (Golang)
- Build and support event-driven / streaming systems using tools like Kafka or Pub/Sub
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested backend code
- Participate in system design discussions and code reviews
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend services
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong fundamentals in Go (Golang)
- Understanding of backend development concepts and RESTful APIs
- Exposure to Kafka, streaming platforms, Pub/Sub, or event-driven systems
- Familiarity with databases, data structures, and basic system design
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
Good to Have
- Experience building microservices
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms or containerization
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts
