Position: Key Account Manager – New Business (Foodservice)
Location: London, Hybrid
About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, commercially minded sales professional to take ownership of new business development across the UK Foodservice landscape.
As Key Account Manager – New Business, you will be the driving force behind securing new listings, expanding our customer base, and unlocking growth in key channels — spanning contract caterers, QSR, leisure, hospitality, pubs, and more.
You’ll join a high-performing team, operating with pace, creativity, and full autonomy to chase opportunities across the market. If you thrive in new business, love building relationships, and want to help shape the next stage of growth for Flora Food Group Professional, this role offers huge impact.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Business Development & Growth
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across UK Foodservice.
- Build and execute a bold, targeted growth strategy aligned to brand and category priorities.
- Drive distribution, visibility, and penetration for Flora Food Group’s iconic brands and back-of-house portfolio.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across distributors, wholesalers, and end-user groups.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, onboarding, and developing new partners.
- Represent the business at trade shows, events, operator meetings, and customer innovation sessions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Category, NPD and Supply Chain to build tailored propositions that meet operator needs.
- Share market and customer insights to help shape channel strategy and future innovation.
- Stay ahead of competitor activity, pricing shifts, trends, and operator dynamics.
What Does It Take to Be Successful?
We’re looking for a proactive, tenacious, and commercially sharp new business hunter with a passion for winning in Foodservice. You should have:
- Proven experience in new business development or account management within FMCG Foodservice.
- Experience working with ice cream or back-of-house branded food products (strongly preferred).
- A strong commercial mindset — confident navigating complex deals and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a consultative approach.
- Deep understanding of the UK Foodservice landscape (distributors, wholesalers, operators, and end-user channels).
- Entrepreneurial spirit — results-focused, persistent, and energised by growth opportunities.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential.
