Lab Technician - Night Shift

• Analytical and/or testing 
• Independently write, conduct, review, and report scientific inquiries
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation
• Assist with test method development and validation efforts
• Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
• Ensure coverage and performance
• Future employee's will be working with:
  • Process Control, NPRMs
  •  LC-CAD Analysis (Sweetener Batch Acceptance Process)
  • Particle Size
  • Stem Length
  • NIR, pH/OV
  • Balance Verification (Daily)
  • Routine Sample Analyses (CFC, SFC, HLC, and CLC) – oven, pH, NIR, Sympatec and Retsch

  • Finish CEM and pH (daily)

  • Finish Sweetener Analysis to include: standard prep., extraction, testing, and maintenance.

  • Lab Equipment Qualification (documentation and testing)

  • Production Equipment Wypall sampling.

Qualifications

• High school or BS in Science or Engineering;
  • 3-5+  years (high school) or 0-2+ (BS) related experience
• Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, with occasional off-shift/weekend work
• Strong leadership, initiative, and team building skills
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company and client policies
• Ability to delegate workflow, as required
• Ability to work overtime/weekends
• Ability to work in a hot, dusty environment, lift over 50 lbs, and be standing for more than 50% of the shift
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

• Position is full-time, 3rd shift, 7:00pm – 5:30 am (10.5 hrs), 4 days per week Tuesday night to Saturday morning​​​​​​​
