Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on labor and employment law issues
- Draft memos, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Manage and support attorneys in all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
- Assist with employment law compliance and risk management
- Advise clients on employment law matters and provide legal guidance
- Conduct client communication and maintain relationships
- Participate in marketing and business development activities
Requirements
- Admission to practice law in California
- 3+ years of experience in employment litigation as well as transactional and advisory work in the labor and employment context.
- Experience with drafting policies, employee handbooks, employment contracts, union negotiations, DFEH, EEOC and OSHA regulations, compliance and investigations, and providing sexual harassment avoidance trainings and advice.
