About the team

You will be joining a team that is part of the largest strategic transformation in the companies history, developing greenfield target state technology and innovative solutions for over 4 million customers.

You will be part of an autonomous Product team grouped with several other teams under a common Fintech domain which includes Energy Trading, Payments and Exports. You will be working alongside teammates in Lithuania, while also collaborating with colleagues in the UK.

What You’ll be doing

As a senior/lead engineer you will be helping to build API-first services that form part of a new target architecture. You will have the opportunity to contribute towards the design, built and scaling of customer products and services, collaborating with other Product and Engineering teams.

You'll engage with cutting-edge technologies like TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, and utilize CI/CD pipelines built with Terraform and Kubernetes on GCP. Embracing agile methodologies, you'll navigate complex challenges and drive development process improvements, working with your team to achieve common objectives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the field of software engineering
• Backend engineering experience essential
• Experience using a cloud-native approach to developing scalable applications, including containers, continuous delivery and microservices
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform an advantage, or alternatively AWS
• Knowledge of TypeScript and Node
• Proven experience in a fast-paced growth environment
• Understanding of multi-server architectures, with experience in databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB) and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/Kubernetes)
• Passion for product and user experience, along with strong commercial thinking.
• A strong desire to make an impact and take ownership early in the process.
• An eye for designing resilient and scalable solutions.
• Attention to detail with a focus on security.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English language
