As a Legal Associate within our Regulatory, Compliance & Ethics team, you’ll support our Northern Europe operations by assisting with legal guidance on compliance and regulatory matters while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic international environment.
Working alongside our local Senior Legal Counsel, you will advise and support on key regulatory areas including privacy, data protection, freedom of expression, financial services (AML/KYC and sanctions), anti-bribery, competition, ESG, and emerging tech such as AI and digital platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to projects that shape ethical and regulatory standards.
The role will be based in our beautiful offices in Kungsholmen, Stockholm (with hybrid working possible), however will work with Dun & Bradstreet markets across Northern Europe. We’re looking for a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented lawyer eager to grow. Whilst experience working with regulatory and compliance matters is beneficial, we are really looking for a team member who has the right drive and attitude above all else. Key Responsibilities
Support with responding to inquiries and communications from data protection authorities and other regulators in the Northern European marketsHelp to ensure that accurate records of processing are maintained for each of the Dun & Bradstreet markets in Northern Europe, and support with regulatory reviews and assessment of regulatory risk for local products, data, technology, content and processes Work closely with Product, Data, and Northern Europe Corporate Legal Affairs to ensure that customer-facing teams have adequate insights on relevant regulatory, compliance and ethics issuesAssist on providing guidance on data subject rights requests and data subject complaints for the Northern European marketsAssist in evaluating and responding to data-related, system-related and compliance incidents in Northern EuropeSupporting the wider promotion and integration of the Regulatory, Compliance and Ethics program and roadmap throughout the Northern Europe businesses
Essential skills and qualifications
Master of Laws from a Nordic university2+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably from an in house legal departmentExperience working in compliance, regulation or privacy & data protection is a big plus, but an interest in this field is essentialExcellent research, writing, and analytical skillsFamiliarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their application in commercial contextsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsShow an ownership mindset in everything you do; take initiative, be curious and be inspired to take action, be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success.Continuous growth mindset, keep learning through social experiences and relationships with stakeholders, experts, colleagues and mentors as well as widen and broaden your competencies through structural courses and programs.Fluent in English and Swedish, additional Nordic languages would be a plus
