📌 What We’re Looking For: AI Support Engineer 

We are looking for an AI Support Engineer to help design, deploy, and support AI-powered agents and generative AI solutions across DANA’s products and internal workflows. This role focuses on building reliable, production-ready AI systems, ensuring their performance, safety, and continuous improvement in real-world environments.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and research teams to integrate AI agents into applications, monitor their behavior, and optimize their performance through feedback and iteration.


What You Will Do :

  • Design and implement AI agents using Large Language Models (LLMs), planning algorithms, and decision-making frameworks
  • Develop agent architectures that support autonomy, interactivity, and task completion
  • Integrate AI agents into applications, APIs, and workflows, including chatbots, copilots, and automation tools
  • Deploy, maintain, and support AI systems in production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Monitor agent performance, conduct evaluations, and implement safety, guardrails, and governance mechanisms
  • Optimize agent behavior through feedback loops, reinforcement learning, and user interaction analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, research, business) to translate use cases into AI-driven solutions
  • Troubleshoot issues, analyze failures, and continuously improve system stability and accuracy
  • Maintain clear and thorough documentation covering agent logic, system design, configurations, and dependencies
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in generative AI, agent frameworks, and LLM technologies, actively pursuing continuous learning

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python (or similar languages) with hands-on experience using AI/ML libraries and tools such as LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face, PyTorch, or equivalent
  • Practical experience building applications with LLMs or generative AI models
  • Solid understanding of agent-based modeling, multi-agent systems, or reinforcement learning
  • Familiarity with API development, backend services, and deployment pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize AI systems in production
  • Ability to work independently in experimental and fast-paced environments, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with autonomous agent frameworks such as AutoGPT, CrewAI, LangGraph, ReAct, or BabyAGI
  • Knowledge of vector databases, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Background in human–AI interaction, conversational UX, or simulation environments
  • Experience supporting or operating AI systems at scale
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects or a portfolio showcasing agent-based systems
  • Understanding of ethical, social, and safety considerations related to autonomous AI systems
