LUX - Investment Funds Lawyer

Our Luxembourg Investment Funds team is a market leading practice covering the full range of funds, including all kinds or alternative funds (such as private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds) as well as UCITS.

In addition, we also advise investors with their investments in such funds, including pension funds, insurance companies, funds of funds and many sovereign wealth and other supra-national institutions.

Our team is composed of 3 Partners and about 40 lawyers from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. English is the official working language, while French, German and Luxembourgish are also used on a regular basis. 

To reinforce our Investment Funds team, we are looking for capable Junior Associate.

You will join a supportive and international team and work under the supervision of senior associates and partners on a variety of matters, including in particular:

• Assisting with the preparation and review of legal documentation for regulated and unregulated investment funds

• Supporting the team in fund set-up and ongoing legal work, including regulatory and corporate aspects

• Assisting with advice to financial service providers (e.g. management companies, depositaries, AIFMs)

• Helping with matters related to fund distribution and investor-related documentation

• Conducting legal research and preparing internal notes and client memos

• Supporting transactional and corporate work linked to investment funds

• Contributing to knowledge management and staying informed about relevant legal and regulatory developments

This role offers excellent training, close supervision and progressive responsibility, with exposure to complex, high-quality work in an international environment.

Qualifications

• EU Qualified lawyer, admitted to List II or List IV or currently undertaking your qualification
• Successfully passed an academic degree in law
• First experiences (possibly during internships) ideally in asset management (particularly in alternative investment funds) within large local law firms or well-established international law firms
• Strong knowledge of the Luxembourg investment funds structures (such as UCITS, SIFs, SICARs, RAIFs, unregulated funds) and are eager to develop your legal knowledge and specialize in this area
• Fluency in English. French, German, Luxembourgish are an asset.
