Working closely with Line of Business (LOB) Consulting Operations leadership, LOB and practice leadership, and other professional services teams, the Consulting Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving and managing growth-focused efforts for the firm. This individual collaborates to implement priority initiatives and support the firm’s mission to provide outstanding value to clients and stakeholders. The position will span a broad range of activities including practice operations, sales and pursuit management, business planning and execution, and other go-to-market efforts. The Manager will support priority offerings across the firm, with a focus on one or more LOBs. Specific responsibilities are outlined below.
Support LOB and Consulting Operations leadership to advance strategic priorities and collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to drive execution.
Assist with LOB, practice and/or offering area meetings (recurring and ad hoc), including agenda setting and content development; capture, synthesize, and share key takeaways.
Monitor the sales pipeline, coordinating with lead owners to ensure follow-through and identify where additional support may be needed.
Support priority initiatives under the direction of LOB and Consulting Operations leadership (e.g., acquisitions and integration, performance improvement projects, new system/tool implementation).
Serve as a connector across functions, helping to align related efforts, share insights, and surface opportunities for continuous improvement.
Help ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures across legal, financial, project management, and talent-related processes, among others.
Drive the proposal process for key RFPs and strategic opportunities, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
Coordinate and facilitate pursuit team discussions, providing project management support.
Draft initial proposal content leveraging standard materials when possible, and work with LOB and practice leaders to create new content as needed.
Review proposals and pricing models to ensure they meet firm-wide quality and compliance standards.
Manage the client orals process, coordinating timelines and helping teams deliver strong, well-prepared presentations.
Stay up to date on market trends and competitor activity to inform pursuit strategy.
Collaborate with leadership and Marketing to execute on overarching marketing and thought leadership plans.
Synthesize, draft, edit, and finalize a range of other internal and external-facing firm communications materials in support of business development activities.
5+ years of experience in a professional services or consulting environment
Healthcare focus or background preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong project management experience; comfortable managing and prioritizing under tight timelines
Ability to rapidly learn and synthesize new information
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content
Strong client service mindset – highly responsive and committed to high-quality delivery
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining strong attention to detail
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions
Advanced capabilities in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Passion for materially improving the delivery of healthcare in the world
Salary range: $103,000-$130,000; may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and broader business needs.
