Manager of the Department of Accounting and Financial Reporting

The Manager performs the following duties and responsibilities:

1. execution of the accounting of fixed assets and intangible assets of the University; ensuring the accounting of the movement of inventory items;
2. calculates taxes on time for the area of responsibility;
3. acceptance, verification and, if necessary, registration of primary documents in the area of responsibility, ensuring their safety and preparation for archiving;
4. participation in a process of preparation of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
5. participation in the development of methodological and regulatory internal documents in the supervised direction;
6. timely provides tax, statistical and other reports on the area of responsibility;
7. organization of conduction and participation in the inventory of assets or of accounts receivable and payable in the area of ​​responsibility in the prescribed manner;
8. consideration and, if necessary, amending the contracts, transactions and internal documents of the University within the framework of his/her responsibilities and powers; 
9. temporary performs the duties (replaces) of the another Мanager during his/her temporary absence (up to one month);
10. timely and properly executes the tasks of the line manager and the University`s management;
11. observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employer`s internal documents;
12. is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
13. is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents, and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information, as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation, Charter and internal documents of the Employer;  
14. in case of dismissal, is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation, digital information, inventory to another employee as instructed by the line manager (to be certified by the act of acceptance-transfer).

Qualifications

Education

Higher-professional, preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction

Required work experience is defined in accordance with standard qualifications for administrative positions at the autonomous organization of education “Nazarbayev University”

Professional competencies

- knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (hereinafter - IFRS) and tax reporting forms;

- availability of a certificate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) DipIFR /ACCA/CPA;

- availability of a certificate of professional accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK);

- good understanding of Information Technology (hereinafter - IT) in the field of accounting;

- tax programs of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- analytical skill;

- knowledge of 1C, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint;

- fluency in English, Kazakh, Russian
