Manufacturing Project Manager

Job Summary

We\'re looking for a manufacturing project manager /project engineer who can estimate jobs as well as manage the project once it becomes an order. We\'d expect this person to be capable of handling multiple projects at one time, managing details, P&IDs, schematics, solid follow-up, and a can-do attitude.

Daily activities include:

Writing quotes/estimates/proposals

Overseeing the details of manufacturing jobs, including engineering, purchasing, material control, quality, and installation

Ensuring the project comes in on time and on schedule

Review of jobs to monitor feedback and data to make improvements on future projects

Communicate effectively between all departments as well as customers

Making customer contact prior to manufacturing to ensure customer requirements will be met with proposed solutions

Resumes with more than 5 years’ experience will get preferential treatment. You must be able to work with minimal supervision and have excellent time management skills, as we operate in an extremely fast-paced environment. Above all, you must have high energy and be very driven to produce results.

Be a Problem Solver — The kind of work we do offers plenty of opportunities for troubleshooting. You must be able to determine what happened and how to fix it with minimal supervision, often under time constraints.

Be Willing to Learn—there’s a lot to learn here, and we’re excited to teach it, but you must be willing to study and understand it thoroughly.

Have Good Time Management—this position manages multiple jobs and quotes simultaneously. You will need to prioritize and compartmentalize them to avoid being overwhelmed.

Be skilled with office software, especially Outlook and Excel. AutoCAD, Solid Works, and E-Drawings are a plus.

We are a custom plastic fabricator in Crystal Lake, building products for handling corrosive air and liquids. Our primary products are ventilation systems for corrosives, tanks, pipe skids, fume scrubbers, plastic duct and fittings, pipe fabrication, and custom components. • Self-Starter/Go Getter 
• MS Office Suite

Nice to Haves: 

• AutoCAD, Solid Works, E-Drawings 

Additional Details:

• Interview Rounds: 1st round will be a phone screening - 2nd and 3rd rounds (Possible) will be in person onsite
