About us:

Aeva is building the next generation of sensing and perception for autonomous vehicles and beyond. With its unique ability to measure instantaneous velocity for each pixel, long-range performance at high resolutions, while being free from LiDAR or sunlight interference, Aeva’s 4D LiDAR is built from the ground up at silicon photonics scale for mass-market applications.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer specializing in photonics test and automation to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in developing test and aligner station automation and manufacturing execution system (MES) integration.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop robust test cases and analysis routines for screening optical modules and associated assemblies in the manufacturing line.
  • Develop and optimize alignment algorithms used to align lens and other optical components in our optical module.
  • Develop MES integration for all stations in the manufacturing line. This requires collaboration with Aeva engineering teams to understand data generated by each station that has to be stored in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and well as working with the equipment vendors to automate station and integrate with MES.
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas, OCAP for improvement in the manufacturing process Yield  and product quality.
  • Collaborate with team team and CM to install test station, perform Gage R&R analysis, establish test procedures, tester calibration and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing and quality assurance, to troubleshoot issues, and improve product performance.
