In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the growth of our work comp insurance products through independent agencies. You'll engage with key stakeholders in your territory, fostering relationships that lead to high renewal retention and profitable new business acquisition. This position emphasizes effective communication and relationship management, which are essential for success. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of our underwriting process and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Accountabilities

Market products and services through the independent agency system in designated geographical areas.

Achieve high levels of renewal retention and target growth of new business.

Manage communication and relationships with agents, the underwriting department, and account executives.

Serve as the front-line underwriter for new business submissions, developing effective strategies for account presentations.

Travel up to 60% of the time for meetings and client interactions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.

10+ years of experience in production underwriting or marketing commercial insurance, preferably in workers’ compensation.

Strong knowledge of and relationships with key insurance agencies in the specified territory.

Experience in underwriting, loss control, or claims is a plus.

Excellent group presentation and one-on-one communication skills.
