We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Manager to join the global marketing team of our global consulting firm. This role will play a key part in building awareness of Control Risks' expertise and driving growth across our service offerings. The successful candidate will have Africa-specific marketing experience, be a driven self-starter who can lead planning and delivery of global (80%) and Africa-focused (20%) marketing campaigns.
Requirements
What you'll Do:
Marketing Campaign & Event Delivery
- In line with our global marketing plan, lead the development and execution of compelling multi-channel marketing campaigns that target key buyer personas and support the full funnel, from awareness to lead generation and on-going engagement.
- Deliver sales enablement tools/collateral/content (via timely briefs to our in-house Brand team) to support sales/account management teams.
- Plan and execute events (in-person and online) that enhance the client experience and support campaign objectives alongside ensuring event debrief meetings and reporting takes place.
- Craft clear, concise, and compelling messaging on complex topics that resonate with commercial decision-makers.
- Generate content ideas aligned to global programme priorities, tailored for regional impact.
- Manage external partnership and supplier relationships e.g. conference organisers and membership organisations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and commercial leads to shape and deliver impactful campaigns.
- Manage campaign/event deliverables, timelines and budget associated with the region.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Work with SMEs and the Content team to produce thought leadership content that supports brand positioning and drives engagement across digital channels.
- Coordinate the creation of campaign assets including emails, social media posts, web content, and lead/client communications.
Reporting & Insights
- Track campaigns in CRM ensuring stakeholders adhere to marketing campaign processes.
- Measure and analyse marketing campaign and event performance using qualitative and quantitative metrics at the end of each campaign.
- Optimise future marketing campaigns and events based on insights.
- Contribute to initiatives that build brand credibility such as award submissions, rankings, and recognitions.
- Assist in the management of the marketing budget and processing of invoices related to marketing activity.
- Document and present campaign delivery and performance to key stakeholders.
Who You Are:
Qualifications
- Batchelors Degree in Marketing or similar business-related subject
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in B2B professional services marketing or similar sector across Africa
- Experience working within a matrix structure and collaborating with global stakeholders.
- Strong record of managing a calendar of marketing activity and end-to-end multi-channel campaign planning and execution.
- Demonstrable experience in digital and offline marketing activity.
- Proficiency in CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and email marketing tools.
- Extensive experience in using corporate social media marketing channels.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes through strategic marketing activity.
- Extensive experience of campaign measurement/reporting.
- Experience aligning with global teams to achieve shared objectives
- Experience translating client needs into compelling value propositions and commercially successful marketing initiatives.
- Use of AI platforms for marketing activity delivery and optimisation would be advantageous.
Skills
- Strong project management/time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage persuasively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Proficiency with CRM, event, and email marketing platforms (e.g. MS Dynamics 365, EventBrite, GoToWebinar, MS ClickDimensions).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business growth strategies
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership in delivering high standards of work.
- Marketing copywriting and content editing expertise
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Function as informal coach to junior team members and lead by example
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Business-level English (written and spoken) is essential.
