We are seeking a Maternity Leave Lead School Nurse to temporarily manage district health services and support building-level nursing operations. In this director-level role, you will supervise nursing staff, ensure compliance with New Jersey regulations, and liaise with public health agencies and the school physician, keeping student safety and health operations running smoothly during this transitional period.Ready to lead and grow with us?

What will you be doing?
- Lead and manage district-wide health services and ensure regulatory compliance
- Supervise and coach nursing staff across campuses
- Coordinate required health trainings and onboarding for nursing staff
- Serve as liaison to the Township Division of Health, school physician, and public health agencies
- Oversee immunization compliance, reporting, and required state submissions
- Maintain district health records and ensure clear physician protocols
- Travel between campuses to ensure continuity of care
- Support student care plans and step in for building-level coverage as needed
What do we require from you?
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- New Jersey School Nurse Certification (or eligibility for Emergency Certification)
- Minimum three (3) years of school nursing experience (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NJ school health compliance requirements
- Excellent judgment, organization, and communication skills
