About the Role
We are seeking a warm, experienced Math Teacher to support a private homeschool setting for two children aged 4 and 6. This is an in-person, part-time role based in the Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. Your goal will be to nurture early math skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences tailored to each child’s pace and curiosity.
Responsibilities
Teach foundational math skills including counting, basic arithmetic, patterns, shapes, and measurements
Design creative, age-appropriate math activities that encourage play, exploration, and confidence
Support both independent and guided learning tailored to each child
Track student engagement and adapt lesson strategies as needed
Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment
Requirements
Around 3+ years of experience teaching early childhood or elementary math
Background in education, math instruction, or a related field
Experience with play-based, Montessori, or Waldorf-inspired approaches a plus
Clear communication, patience, and a child-centered mindset
Available to teach in person in the Presidio, San Francisco
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Schedule & Pay
Time Commitment: 1 hour/day, Monday–Friday
Schedule: Flexible between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay: $75/hour
Start: Flexible, ideally in the coming weeks
