Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist | Permanent WFH

We are seeking a detail-oriented Biller/AR Specialist with solid experience in hospital billing and managing claims across all payers—commercial and government. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Optum/Change Healthcare Billing Systems and Cerner, bringing at least 2–3 years of proven billing and AR experience.

This role is crucial in ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursements, and reducing denials, all while keeping the revenue cycle flowing smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit claims to insurance payers (commercial and government).
• Work with Optum/Change Healthcare Billing System to ensure accurate billing processes.
• Utilize Cerner for patient account management and charge entry.
• Review claims for accuracy and compliance before submission.
• Research and resolve payer rejections, denials, and underpayments.
• Follow up on outstanding AR balances to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain current knowledge of payer requirements, regulations, and billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and other departments for claim resolutions.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in hospital billing and accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of all payers (commercial and government insurance programs).
• Hands-on experience with Optum/Change Healthcare Billing Systems and Cerner.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Amenable to work during U.S. business working hours.

• Internet: Wired connection with at least 50 Mbps download speed, plus a backup connection (e.g., mobile hotspot or prepaid Wi-Fi)
