In this role, you will be the primary link between healthcare providers and our legal staff, ensuring that every case has the vital medical and billing documentation needed to succeed. Key Responsibilities
• Case Management & Intake: Oversee the end-to-end request process for medical records and billing statements from hospitals, emergency rooms, and imaging centers.
• Third-Party Liaison: Proactively manage follow-ups with records-retrieval services (such as Sharecare and PIOX) to ensure deadlines are met.
• Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and dispatch HIPAA-compliant requests, ensuring all cover letters and authorization forms meet legal standards.
• Provider Communication: Maintain professional relationships with local providers, including chiropractors and physical therapy offices, to facilitate smooth information exchange.
• Data Integrity: Utilize the Prevail case management system to track request statuses, upload documentation, and keep case files current.
• Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Attorneys and Claims Managers to ensure all files are "trial-ready" and complete.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience: 1–2 years in a medical records, billing, or legal support role (Personal Injury experience is a major plus).
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and general medical terminology.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency with case management software (specifically Prevail is a plus, though training is provided).
• Organizational Excellence: A natural ability to multitask and track multiple outstanding requests without losing focus.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; ability to navigate professional conversations with both medical staff and legal experts.
• Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly valued but not required.
