We operate with a flat structure, emphasizing direction and execution over hierarchy. As a Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the core services powering our AI-driven platform. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who thrives in complex, high-scale environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design scalable backend systems—Develop high-throughput, low-latency services for AI-driven search

• Ensure reliability—Optimize performance, fault tolerance, and observability at scale

• Develop APIs—Build well-documented, efficient APIs for seamless data exchange

• Enhance CI/CD—Automate deployment and release workflows

• Integrate AI/ML—Collaborate on AI-driven recommendations and personalization

• Secure systems—Implement best practices for data security and compliance

• Boost developer productivity—Improve internal tooling and workflows

Who You Are

• Backend expert—7+ years in distributed systems, HPC, or cloud infrastructure

• Programming skills—Fluent in Python, Go, or Rust, with scalable system experience

• Cloud knowledge—Expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure, including serverless and containerized workloads

• DevOps experience—Hands-on with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD

• Data-driven—Familiar with real-time data processing and high-availability architectures

• Bias for action—Move fast while balancing sustainability

• Startup-ready—Thrive in ambiguity, adapt to change
