Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for developing new sales opportunities within targeted large commercial accounts. This collaborative role involves engaging with colleagues across the business and employs a sales model that fosters cooperation, supporting your success. This position offers a great opportunity to build a successful sales career with a leading global software vendor.
Responsibilities:
- Exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by selling SolarWinds solutions into large commercial accounts.
- Manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business sales and expansion of existing accounts.
- Identify and research territory/vertical sectors to create a go-to-market strategy and qualified target accounts.
- Develop pipeline through cold calling, email campaigns, and market sector knowledge/intelligence.
- Create and maintain a sales pipeline aligned with key coverage metrics to ensure over-achievement.
- Engage with prospect organizations to position SolarWinds solutions through strategic value-based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, references, and analyst data.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process by engaging appropriate resources such as Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and Executives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in marketing and product groups.
- Manage the sales process through direct sales motion or collaboration with resellers or System Integrators, as appropriate.
- Generate short-term results while maintaining a long-term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation.
- Update the Salesforce system daily with accurate customer and pipeline data.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly forecasting and revenue delivery.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience selling software solutions into larger commercial organizations, gained within a major software vendor or value-added reseller.
- Proven successful history of net direct new business sales and consistent delivery against targets.
- Demonstrable track record of sales overachievement.
- Credibility at all levels, including CxO.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in software sales related to systems management and analysis, or vertical industry sector experience, is favorable.
