Job Title: Staff Engineer – Mobile (React Native + Native)

Location: Bangalore, Whitefield.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Staff Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with coding, proficient in React Native as well as native languages (Swift/Kotlin), and experienced in building scalable, high-performance mobile solutions. This is a leadership role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and native technologies (Swift/Kotlin).

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver innovative and intuitive user experiences.

  • Architect and maintain high-performance, reusable, and scalable codebases across different form factors.

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and protocols in mobile development.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize mobile app performance.

  • Drive engineering best practices, including unit testing, automated testing, and CI/CD.

  • Mentor team members through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

  • 6–10 years of professional experience in mobile application development.

Core Skills

  • Expertise in React Native framework along with native development in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).

  • Strong understanding of the mobile app lifecycle including release management.

  • Proven experience in building SDKs and framework libraries.

  • Solid knowledge of operating systems, databases, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Ability to work as an individual contributor, fully hands-on with coding.

  • Familiarity with third-party libraries, APIs, and integrations.

  • Good understanding of UI/UX principles for mobile development.

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Appium, RTL, XCTest, etc.

  • Strong grasp of design patterns and their applicability in mobile app development.

  • Proficiency with Git/GitHub for version control.

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform frameworks.

  • Exposure to large-scale mobile deployments with MDM solutions.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Hands-on with Jenkins, Kibana, JIRA.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
