We’re looking for a Nonprofit Staff Accountant to join our small, dynamic finance team. You’ll play a key role in keeping our financial records accurate, organized, and compliant—while working alongside some of the friendliest people in the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare monthly financial data, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other reports, as part of the month-end close process.
  • Process journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze data to keep everything in tip-top shape.
  • Collaborate across departments to track revenues, expenses, payroll distributions, and more.
  • Assist with internal and external audits—coordinating documents and supporting the Accounting Manager.
  • Support government filings, tax documentation, and complex financial reporting.
  • Help identify and implement accounting controls and procedures to stay compliant with GAAP.
  • Mentor our accounting clerk and pitch in on special projects.
  • What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting experience is a plus!).
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care.
