Production Management
- Oversee daily operations of date sorting, grading, packing and processing.
- Ensure production targets, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
- Optimize production schedules to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity
Quality & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, BRC) and customer requirements
- Work closely with the quality team to maintain high product standards.
- Implement corrective actions to address quality deviations.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
Workforce Management & Development
- Lead, train, and develop the production team to enhance skills and performance.
- Ensure proper workforce planning, including seasonal staffing needs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and improve labor productivity while maintaining high morale.
Maintenance & Equipment Efficiency
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance plans are executed to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with maintenance team to optimize machine performance.
- Identify and implement automation or process improvement to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.
Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with farm and supply chain teams to ensure a steady supply of date, raw materials, and packaging.
- Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of dates to maintain quality.
- Align production planning with sales forecast and customer demand.
- Monitor report the dates inventory based on the categories and grads.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE regulations.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety policies and best practices.
- Conduct safety training and ensure the use of PPEs and proper hygiene practices.
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive safety culture.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, efficiency, and quality.
- Prepare reports for senior management with insights and recommendations.
- Use data-driven decision-making to improve processes and reduce waste.
- Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Agriculture Engineering
- 8 -10 years of experience in food processing, FMCG, or Agri-industrial operations, with at least 3-5 years in managerial role.
- Strong background in Production Planning, quality assurance, and process optimization in a factory environment
- Experience in managing seasonal workforce operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Compliance with international standards (BRC, ISO 22000, GMP, HACCP).
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development and performance management
