What you’ll be spending your time on:
- Builds a strong partnership with the regional teams to support their needs and their customers’ ones.
- Sets strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity in the region
- Drives performance for the India Region Ops centre, managing closely and collaborating with local leads to meet and exceed market standards.
- Pushes operational excellence of the various operational functions by leading initiatives that optimise internal efficiency and SLA performance of each function.
- Aligns with the global teams around new products, clients, services, regulations & procedures to support our customers in the region with best-in-class experience with a heavy focus on localisation.
- Enhances the local operational knowledge to implement global solutions to improve the effectiveness and quality of services.
- Leads and supports the market needs and enhancements.
- Be the focal point for alignment, communication, and escalation to increase the operations' scalability for Payoneer's business and operations.
- Provides leadership, coaching and mentorship to the team managers/team leaders.
- Projects a positive image of the organisation to employees, customers, industry, and community.

Who we are looking for:
- Experienced regional leader with a proven track record of managing large teams and successfully delivering operational goals across customer journey management, end-to-end onboarding, and KYC processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in building, developing, and scaling high-performing customer onboarding teams to drive efficiency, productivity, and service excellence.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of RBI KYC Master Directions and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead teams in strict compliance with regulatory standards while balancing business needs to support scalable growth.
- Experienced in working within matrix reporting structures, with strong familiarity with technology products/services and global customer environments.
- Energetic and self-driven professional who learns quickly in fast-paced environments and consistently delivers high-quality customer outcomes.
- Possesses strong initiative, a confident voice, and the tenacity to advocate effectively for local operational and business requirements.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
For this role, you have:
- Master’s degree with 12+ years of proven experience leading operations teams, preferably within banking or fintech environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in building, leading, and scaling high-performing operational teams to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Strong ability to re-align strategies, think creatively, and drive results through innovative problem-solving approaches.
- Proven crisis management capability, including experience in designing, implementing, and executing Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills with a highly detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong leadership and people management experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Risk, and Compliance.
- Extensive experience working across multiple regions and time zones within a global operating environment
- Independent and creative thinker who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and consistently drives operational excellence.
- Experience working with data analytics and business intelligence (BI) tools to support operational insights and decision-making.
- Strong understanding of India-specific RBI regulations, compliance frameworks, and audit procedures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly adaptable with strong multitasking capabilities and a fast-learning ability.
- Proven ability to lead teams independently while maintaining strong accountability for operational performance and delivery outcomes.
