We are seeking a proactive, bilingual Paralegal to support our attorney and team with case preparation, client communication, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, with prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant—preferably in family law. This role requires strong organizational skills, solid legal knowledge, and effective communication in both languages. Must have at least 2 years of experience in family law in FLORIDA (US)
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• File documents with courts and agencies electronically and in person as needed.
• Manage case calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings.
• Assist in preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Support attorney with case strategy and trial preparation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients.
• Translate and interpret between attorneys/paralegals and clients accurately and with cultural sensitivity.
• Provide case updates, answer general questions, and relay information to the attorney.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
• Conduct client intake interviews as needed.
• Assist with billing, time entry, and case management software.
• Provide additional administrative and case support as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Florida Family Law (non-negotiable).
• Ability to start with minimal training and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience assisting with trial preparation, exhibit organization, mediation packets, and case strategy.
• Experience supporting attorneys during hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
• Proficiency in case management systems, e-filing, and standard legal software (experience with LawMatics is a plus).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• Ability to draft and prepare Florida family law pleadings, motions, discovery, financial affidavits, notices, and hearing/trial binders.
• Familiarity with the Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure.
