Job Purpose
The successful candidate will join our Paraplanning team in Bristol, supporting the preparation of suitability reports and delivering comprehensive technical research across a wide range of financial products and planning opportunities for our team of Financial Planners.
This role has a hybrid working pattern with a minimum of one day in the office per week and remainder working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare suitability reports across a wide range of advice types, financial products, and investment solutions
- Carry out any necessary technical research
- Ensure client records contain sufficient KYC information to demonstrate suitability of our advice, and that they are kept accurate and up to date at all times
- Work with the Financial Planner to ensure the correct client outcome in achieved
- Attend client meetings to support the Financial Planner in the delivery of cashflow modelling, as required
- Manages own workload to meet personal targets
- Communicate effectively with the Financial Planners to manage expected delivery dates
- Responsible for managing process, tasks and complying with FCA guidelines
- Maintain core systems ensuring that all documents are uploaded to the back-office system to support the advice
- Identify and report any risks, breaches, or errors through ensuring risks are logged through to mitigating actions and controls
- Proactively enhance industry and Company knowledge, through external and internal sources and maintaining an accurate CPD log
- Participate in local projects to support the overall Financial Planning Team, as required
Qualifications
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of paraplanning gained with a proven solid technical knowledge
- Proven track record of delivering written financial advice
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills; able to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good stakeholder management with positive influencing skills
- Literacy, numerical and analytical skills are essential
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) is essential
- A desire to develop further and to undertake relevant examinations and working towards Chartered status
