About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Contract Paralegal with experience supporting corporate contract matters. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing a variety of corporate and commercial agreements (e.g., vendor agreements, service contracts, partnership agreements).
- Support contract lifecycle management, including version control, tracking key dates, and ensuring timely execution.
- Conduct legal research related to corporate, regulatory, and compliance issues.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date contract records and corporate files.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel as needed to facilitate efficient contract workflows.
- Provide general paralegal support to the legal team, including administrative legal tasks.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or relevant academic work; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, including corporate contract experience.
- Strong understanding of contract structure, standard legal terms, and basic corporate governance principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and contract management tools (preferred).
- Experience working as an independent contractor or in a remote environment is a plus.
Contract Details:
- Part-time, flexible hours (estimated 5-10 hours per week, depending on workload).
- 1099 contractor - benefits are no included in this role
- Remote-friendly with document reviews as needed.
- Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
