We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll & Benefits Administrator to support our growing organization.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing and effective benefits administration across multiple locations, while working closely with store managers and head office.
Payroll Administration:
Process bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly payrolls accurately and on scheduleReview and reconcile employee timecards for accuracyCommunicate with store managers to confirm hours worked, overtime, vacation, sick time, and payroll adjustmentsProcess payroll changes including bonuses, allowances, retro pay, and special requestsEnsure compliance with employment standards legislation, including overtime, vacation, and statutory holidaysMaintain accurate payroll records and employee data within the payroll systemPrepare payroll reports and assist with audits and year-end activities (T4s, T4As)
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminationsAct as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiriesEnsure accurate deductions and eligibility trackingSupport annual benefit renewals and employee communications
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with managers, supervisors, and HR to resolve payroll and benefits inquiriesAssist with payroll system enhancements and process improvementsHandle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in payroll and benefits administrationStrong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and employment standardsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlinesExperience with payroll systems and Microsoft ExcelPCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is an asset
