Physical Therapist Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Technician to join our healthcare team in Grand Prairie, United States. As a vital member of our physical therapy department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and providing exceptional care to our patients.

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and delivering high-quality patient care
• Prepare treatment areas and set up therapy equipment for patient sessions
• Demonstrate exercises and guide patients through prescribed therapeutic activities
• Apply hot and cold packs, and other modalities as directed by the physical therapist
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of therapy equipment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a positive and supportive patient experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current enrollment in a physical or occupational therapy curriculum program preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and empathetic demeanor
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Genuine interest in helping people and a deep commitment to patient care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to safety protocols
• Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer skills
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to create a supportive environment for patients
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
