Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant

Job description

Summit Physician Specialists is Utah’s largest group of Diagnostic Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons. We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Physician’s Assistant to work in Vascular Surgery in Ogden, Utah. In addition to $120,000+ salary, this position offers generous call pay and benefits.

The successful applicant will join five Vascular Surgeons in our practice providing the full spectrum of arterial and vein procedures. Please note, this position will be located in Ogden, UT and related area. 

 

Required License/Certifications:

· Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) OR Physician Assistant (PA)

· National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

· Eligible for State Controlled License II through V

· Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V

· BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

· Applicable experience as defined by position

· Ability to work rotating shifts including holidays, weekends, and call required

· Experience in Vascular or surgical subspecialties highly preferred

Work Location:

· McKay-Dee Hospital & Vascular and Vein Clinic

Schedule:

· 10 hour shifts - average 4 day work week

· On call nights and weekends -1 in 4 weekend call

Responsibilities will include:

· Management of inpatient and outpatient care

· First assist in operating room for both open and endovascular surgery

· Histories and physicals

· Pre and post procedure orders

· Patient education and follow-up

· Independent clinic and hospital-based consultations

· Interfacing with referring physicians and services
