Preschool Teacher

We are looking for a Long-term teacher who can start in January and keep classrooms running smoothly.

ECE Substitutes, Inc. partners with early education centers across the Kansas City Metro to provide dependable, classroom-ready educators. We’re looking for a Long-term preschool teacher who can bring consistency, care, and creativity to the classroom while supporting daily routines and curriculum goals. MUST be able to work full-time at least 32 hrs/week.

Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced early childhood teachers who want stability, purpose, and flexibility. As a long-term substitute, you’ll work in the same classroom or center for an extended period—ensuring children’s growth continues uninterrupted.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom serving children ages 1–3
• Support daily routines, implement lesson plans, and ensure a nurturing environment
• Support children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
• Communicate effectively with center staff and directors
• Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Minimum 12 months classroom experience in a licensed early childhood setting
• CDA or Head Start Experience/Knowledge preferred
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom management
• Dependable, flexible, and ready to start in January
• Must pass all state-required background checks and health clearances
