Principal Engineer, Product Design Engineering

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the product engineering lifecycle and develop strategies to enhance quality, efficiency, and market competitiveness
• Lead and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with cross-functional departments to align product development with business objectives
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and ensure compliance with industry standards and quality control measures
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
• Implement process improvements and best practices in product engineering
• Provide comprehensive technical briefings and project updates to senior management and stakeholders

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in product engineering, with 3-5 years in a managerial role

PREFERRED:

• Proven track record of successful product development and launches
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in product engineering
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and mentoring
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive product innovation and problem-solving
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

SKILLS:

• In-depth understanding of the product development lifecycle and industry best practices
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and quality control processes
• Knowledge of market trends and ability to translate customer needs into product features
• Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE) is a plus
