We are hiring a Principal Software Engineer – AI ERP Platform & Automation to help build a cloud-native, multi-tenant AI-powered ERP platform from the ground up. This is a high-ownership, hands-on engineering role focused on platform architecture, core ERP systems, and deep AI integration.
You will design and implement foundational ERP modules (HRIS, Payroll foundations, Workforce Management, Quality Management), build speech and text analytics pipelines, and embed AI into workflows and decision-making. You will also enable production-grade workflow automations across Sales, Marketing, HR/Recruiting, and Operations using Python, Node.js, and automation tools such as n8n, Make, and Zapier.
You’ll work closely with AI automation specialists who define workflow strategy and process design. Your role is to own the engineering execution—turning strategy into scalable architecture, clean APIs, reliable systems, and production-ready code.
What You’ll Do

Partner with AI automation specialists to translate workflow strategy into platform architecture, APIs, data models, and shippable engineering milestones.

Architect and build a cloud-native, multi-tenant AI ERP platform, including:
-
Tenant configuration and isolation
-
Organizational structures, permissions (RBAC/ABAC), approvals, and audit trails
-
AI-aware data access and workflow controls
-
-
Design a stable architecture for a “second AI brain,” optimizing token usage, data security, role provisioning, and access boundaries.

Design and implement core ERP modules:
-
Quality Management (scorecards, coaching workflows, calibration)
-
Workforce Management (scheduling, time & attendance, adherence, forecasting)
-
HRIS (employee lifecycle, documents, self-service)
-
Payroll foundations (pay runs, earnings/deductions, integrations, GL posting patterns)
-

Build speech and text analytics pipelines, including ingestion, transcription integration, NLP classification, summarization, compliance detection, and searchable insights (e.g., leveraging Teramind).

Deliver deep AI capabilities across the platform:
-
Permissions-aware LLM assistants using RAG and tool calling
-
AI-triggered workflows, approvals, and system updates
-
Forecasting and anomaly detection for workforce and operational KPIs
-
Evaluation and monitoring to ensure quality and reduce hallucinations
-

Build API-first, event-driven systems using REST/GraphQL, webhooks, queues/pub-sub, idempotency, retries, and DLQs.

Own reliability and security practices:
-
Observability, SLOs, and incident patterns
-
Encryption, secure SDLC, and audit-ready controls (SOC 2–aligned)

Operationalize workflow automations by building the APIs, eventing, data contracts, and guardrails that make n8n/Make/Zapier automations production-grade.

Contribute to UX/UI decisions for enterprise workflows, including complex forms, dashboards, and design-system consistency.
What You Bring (Required)
-
Strong understanding of Agile software development and delivery.
-
Expert-level Python experience in production environments (required).
-
Strong Node.js experience (preferred).
-
Proven experience building cloud-native, scalable platforms with solid system design fundamentals (services, APIs, data modeling, reliability).

Demonstrated ability to build AI-powered products end-to-end, including LLM applications, RAG, NLP pipelines, evaluation, and safety controls.

Hands-on experience with workflow automation/orchestration using n8n, Make, or Zapier, plus custom scripting and webhooks.
-
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills; able to turn ambiguous requirements into a clear, shippable roadmap.
Ideal Background (Highly Preferred)

Experience at enterprise ERP, contact-center, or platform companies (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, NetSuite, Sage, Epicor).

Or experience building at leading AI and automation platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Zapier, Make, n8n, CX analytics platforms).

Proven track record shipping enterprise-grade, workflow-heavy UX/UI, either in partnership with product/design or by owning UI decisions.
Bonus Points

Deep domain expertise in Payroll and Workforce Management, including global payroll considerations and regional compliance.

Experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 readiness, including access governance and audit controls.

Data warehouse and BI experience (ELT pipelines, metrics layers, analytics modeling).
