This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Product Manager, Payments (B2B2C Vertical SaaS) in the United States.
In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of an embedded payments platform within a B2B2C vertical SaaS environment, overseeing all aspects from merchant onboarding to settlement, reconciliation, and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, risk, compliance, finance, and go-to-market to deliver a seamless payments experience that drives adoption, retention, and revenue. The position requires balancing strategic platform initiatives with day-to-day operational needs, ensuring a secure, reliable, and scalable payments ecosystem. You will leverage data and customer insights to guide roadmap decisions and influence key stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to mentor other product managers while shaping the future of payments within a fast-growing SaaS platform.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and own the payments product vision and multi-year roadmap for the platform
  • Lead strategy across embedded payments, onboarding, pricing, settlement, payouts, refunds, disputes, and reconciliation
  • Optimize merchant and end-customer payment experiences to drive adoption, conversion, and satisfaction
  • Partner with engineering to deliver reliable, scalable payment systems
  • Coordinate with risk, compliance, finance, operations, and customer success teams for end-to-end solutions
  • Track key KPIs including adoption, take rate, authorization rate, payment success, fraud loss, and settlement SLAs
  • Mentor product managers and act as the domain expert in payments
  • Requirements:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with significant ownership of embedded or platform payments
  • Proven experience in B2B2C, marketplace, or vertical SaaS environments
  • Hands-on experience with merchant onboarding, settlement, and reconciliation at scale
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem (processors, networks, acquiring, issuing)
  • Comfortable working in regulated environments and partnering with compliance and risk teams
  • Ability to balance long-term platform strategy with near-term revenue and customer needs
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
