Print operator
Duration: 4 months (Potential to FTE)
Pay Rate : 11.00 $/hr
Shifts
first shift: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM and Second shift: 4:30 PM-3:00 AM
Position is responsible for preparing, operating and maintaining a Direct to Garment press to produce high-quality product for final processing in the finishing department.
Essential Responsibilities describe the major responsibilities of this position.
1. Load Art and product on the machine.
2. Ensures product meets customer specifications
3. Monitors and corrects any problems that may occur during the press run to minimize downtime and waste
4. Conducts routine quality check for any printing imperfections during each run
5. Ensures completed product is staged in the area with appropriate job ticket information attached
6. Maintains an accurate record of all completed work
7. Maintains acceptable productivity, quality, service, spoilage, security and safety goals
8. Performs preventative maintenance, conducts minor repairs and reports any mechanical defects to supervisor on equipment
9. Maintains a clean and safe work area
10. Follows all company procedures and rules
11. Follows all mandated security procedures and process requirements
12. Conducts self in a respectful and professional manner with a focus on teamwork, quality and timeliness at all times
Basic Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience using Digital Press and/or Screen Press and familiarity with printing ink
- Basic mechanical aptitude with ability to select and use appropriate equipment, supplies and tools
- Willingness and ability to work 10 hour shifts, including weekends and nights
Preferred Qualifications
- Digital printing on garments (Kornit equipment ideal)
- Quality control experience
- Good computer skills able to understand moving of files.
- Good detail and decision making skills in order to setup equipment, check product quality and make adjustments to meet customer deadlines and requirements
- Ability to follow/interpret written and oral instructions and specifications
- Must be reliable through good attendance, punctuality and cooperation
