About the Role
We’re looking for a founding Product Manager who’s obsessed with building new experiences from scratch, moves at the speed of intuition + data, and thrives in a place where the product surface is half user-facing and half AI-facing. You’ll sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the cofounders, working directly with AI engineering to shape how our matchmaking agents think, talk, and make decisions.
This is an early, high-leverage role (<10 people) where you won’t just ship features — you’ll define the product philosophy and architecture behind the first agentic dating platform in the world.
In this role, you will:
Drive the product vision for an agentic dating system. Combine user psychology, structured data, and AI reasoning to design experiences that feel personal, warm, and effortless.
Own the full 0→1 lifecycle of new matchmaking and conversational features: deeply understand user intent, define specs, prototype with engineering, run experiments, and take features to production.
Build our experimentation muscle. Propose hypotheses, set success metrics, run A/B tests, incorporate AI evals, and move fast on weekly iteration cycles.
Collaborate directly with the cofounders on product strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, and long-term vision. Your fingerprints will be on the core DNA of the product.
Obsess over user and market insights. Talk to our highest-intent users, run city-level feedback loops, and turn qualitative + quantitative signals into decisions that drive retention, delight, and IRL success.
Craft specs, narratives, prototypes, and dashboards that bridge engineering, design, and operations.
Your background looks something like:
4–6+ years in product management, ideally at a fast-moving consumer or marketplace startup. AI/LLM experience is a strong plus.
A track record of 0 → 1 product building: shipped new surfaces quickly, validated hypotheses with real users, handled ambiguity, and scaled prototypes into production.
Strong instincts in building user-facing experiences where psychology, behavior, and delight matter just as much as mechanics.
Hands-on with experiments, KPIs, funnel analysis, and the ability to turn raw data into product direction. Comfortable dipping into SQL, dashboards, and structured testing.
Experience working closely with AI/ML teams — or at least a strong intuition for LLM capabilities, failure modes, and how prompts, RAG, and reasoning loops affect UX.
A portfolio of strong communication artifacts (PRDs, product narratives, prototypes, experiment summaries, etc.).
A builder’s mindset: low ego, highly collaborative, thrives in intensity, and gets energized by being part of a truly early team.
Experience shaping agentic or conversational interfaces, voice/chat products, matchmaking systems, or recommendation engines.
Location: SF/Emeryville
About Ditto
Ditto is reimagining how people meet — starting with dating. We’re building the first fully agentic social platform where AI does the heavy lifting: understanding your preferences, finding compatible matches, and even setting up real-life dates.
Our cofounders dropped out of UC Berkeley in their freshman year to build this vision. Since then, Ditto has gone viral across campuses, set up tens of thousands of real dates, and attracted funding from Google and top-tier VCs, along with brilliant engineers and researchers from MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and DeepMind.
Dating is just the beginning, we are gonna disrupt the entire social scene. If that sounds interesting, come talk to us.
