The Product Owner Associate (POA), Digital - Employer Services will report to the Senior Product Owner – Digital, Employer Services, and assist with the launch and ongoing improvements of Rest’s clearing house platform, Rest Pay. The POA will collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams on technical matters and contribute to projects related to business process improvement, partnerships, and product marketing.
Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to scale, enhance, and utilise Rest's resources, as well as coordinating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to support the role’s objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Product Backlog Management: supports product owner on defining the product roadmap and agreeing on the key goals, success measures and timeframes. You’ll discuss potential impacts with the product owner and be aligned on what’s needed and what you’re working towards.
- Agile Team Collaboration: Be part of a cross-functional product team and work with multifunctional stakeholders within digital and the wider portfolio to clarify requirements, refine user stories, and participate in team ceremonies
- Act as the voice of the customer: work with the insights team, front line and employers to develop and document a deep understanding of employer needs and pain points and then help articulate and prioritise these for the delivery teams.
- Stakeholder Communication: Manage communications with stakeholders prior to, throughout, and following product launch of our clearing house, focusing on scope definition, development updates, resolving roadblocks, and supporting go-to-market feature launches.
- User Story Creation: Translate requirements into use cases, agile stories, and acceptance criteria, and review product progress each iteration. Support the PO to ensure the product features and processes meet regulatory, compliance, and risk standards.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Digital Product Management, Application Development or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Demonstrable experience in digital product management
- Experience in overseeing UI/UX research and design, including continuous Agile delivery
- Experience working with technical teams on APIs, system integrations and development
- Experience in delivering product roadmaps and delivering initiatives to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrated experience working with products that adhere to regulatory compliance standards.
- Experience in managing vendors and service providers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in the following domains highly desirable: superannuation, clearing houses, SuperStream standard, SaaS products, HRIS SaaS
