Project Manager (Cheque Clearance)

The Project Manager (PM) will lead and deliver projects related to Singapore Cheque Clearing, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with local clearing rules and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with clearing participants and vendors, and driving end-to-end delivery of system, process, or regulatory changes impacting cheque clearing operations.

• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables for cheque clearing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Establish and manage project governance, reporting, and escalation mechanisms.
• Leverage domain knowledge of Singapore cheque clearing processes, including:

1. Clearing cycles and cut-off times
2. Presentment, returns, and dishonour handling
3. Settlement and reconciliation processes

• Ensure project delivery complies with Singapore clearing house rules, MAS guidelines, and internal risk controls.
• Manage dependencies with clearing banks, service providers, and external vendors.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering Singapore Cheque Clearing initiatives
• Strong understanding of:

1. Singapore cheque clearing processes and timelines
2. Clearing house rules and settlement models

• Experience managing banking or financial services projects
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
