Position Summary:
- Lead and manage product development projects across the Burnsville Engineering Groups, with a focus on Loudspeakers, Audio Electronics, and Software Solutions.
- Responsible for coordinating and completing Product Development Projects for EV / Dynacord Brand. Accountable for all aspects of the project throughout its entire lifecycle, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Success in this role requires strong problem‑recognition skills, effective risk management, timely escalation, and proactive issue resolution.
- Works closely with internal and external project team members to coordinate activities effectively, gain a clear understanding of the system scope and project objectives, and develop awareness of the roles and contributions of each team member.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and Project Manager for all assigned projects (managing multiple initiatives in parallel, depending on complexity) from initial concept through industrialization and formal project closure.
- Lead and manage a cross‑functional core team, including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Product Management, Purchasing, and Logistics, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Develop realistic and achievable project plans and timelines in accordance with project‑management best practices, the company’s Product Creation Process, and the Portfolio Roadmap.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to cost, quality, and schedule; establish and maintain effective risk‑management plans.
- Proactively conduct detailed resource analyses and collaborate with functional managers to secure adequate resources for upcoming project phases and launches.
- Operate independently on a variety of moderately complex issues, exercising sound judgment within established procedures and best practices to determine appropriate actions.
- Prepare and manage project communications, including status reports, project reviews, and other communication tools required for different stakeholder levels.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by motivating the team, setting achievable objectives, maintaining a positive outlook, taking responsibility, making timely decisions, and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key project stakeholders; facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, navigate cultural differences, and establish trust, credibility, and respect across the organization.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Relevant Project Management Certification (such as PMP, Prince2, or similar) is required, or ability to attain within 1 year of hire.
- Proficiency with project‑management software, including tools such as MS Project and JIRA.
- Three or more years of Project Management experience, with hands‑on application of established project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).
- Strong stakeholder‑management capabilities, with experience engaging cross‑functional teams.
- Effective negotiation and conflict‑management skills.
- Willingness for (international) travel up to 25%.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid Passport
Travel:
- Travel (domestic or international) may be required, on average once per quarter.
Required Abilities:
- Normal office environment.
- Some exposure to factory and warehouse environments, depending upon project(s).
Additional Information
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$135,000 for a Project Manager, or $130,000-$155,000 for a Senior Project Manager. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
