Kentro is seeking a visionary and experienced Project Manager. We are looking for a Project Manager to coordinate and oversee the development of software applications, leveraging modern DevOps platforms such as GitLab and Azure DevOps. The role involves working closely with development teams, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, hands-on experience with GitLab and Azure DevOps, and a solid understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, track, and manage software application development projects using GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
  • Maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Identify risks, resolve blockers, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business users.
  • Oversee code management, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment activities through GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Support testing, user acceptance, and successful deployment of applications.
  • Document project status, issues, and lessons learned, report to leadership and stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid in Tampa, FL

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience: 3+ years of project management experience in software or application development.
  • Project Management Tools Desired:  Hands-on experience with GitLab and Azure DevOps for project tracking, version control, and CI/CD. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple development projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and software release management.
  • Experience with other development or collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack).

Certifications Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP).

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
