Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Adolescent & Adult- Manchester, CT

Established hospital based healthcare system is seeking a full-time Child/Adolescent Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team of healthcare professionals.

The nurse practitioner will provide services for the adolescent partial hospital program and outpatient child/adolescent ambulatory department.

The psych NP Conducts psychiatric evaluation and formulates accurate diagnoses. Manages prescribed medication, performs mental status examinations, obtains medical history develops and presents treatment plans.

Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to specific problems, practice/consultation, education, staff development, program development, and community engagement. Provides coordinated patient treatment by communicating the care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health care team.
