We are looking for a strategic and experienced Public Relations Lead to strengthen and build our brand reputation, media presence. Has a strong network with Tier 1 media outlets for general and financial publishing. This role will be responsible for shaping the bank’s public narrative, leading end-to-end PR strategies, advising C-Level stakeholders, and driving proactive media engagement to support business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated PR strategy and roadmap across Amar Bank’s portfolio.
  • Own and drive strategic narratives that align with the bank’s brand, values, and business priorities.
  • Draft, review, and publish press releases, statements, and communications across internal and external channels, including the corporate website, internal groups, newsletters, and LinkedIn.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong media relations, especially with top-tier journalists and editors; identify opportunities for opinion piece placements and proactive storytelling.
  • Act as the key liaison for executive communications, including preparing talking points, speech materials, and briefing documents for C-level participation in media events or speaking engagements.
  • Lead crisis communications planning and serve as the main advisor during reputational risk events.
  • Track and analyze media coverage, sentiment, and impact; generate weekly and yearly reports on PR effectiveness and media metrics.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to support major corporate events (AGMs, Public Expos, EGMS).
  • Manage PR-related events including press conferences, media visits, partner collaborations, and CSR initiatives.
  • Oversee award nominations and manage end-to-end coordination through judging and announcement.
  • Monitor complaints on Media Konsumen, ensuring timely escalation and coordinated response.
  • Identify and evaluate sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with the brand.
  • Manage PR budget and oversee all payments and vendor relationships.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in PR, media, or communications with at least 2 years in a leadership role, as well as handling banking or financial categories. 
  • Proven experience leading high-impact PR strategies and media campaigns with measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders and C-Level executives with confidence and clarity.
  • Strong network with media professionals and ability to drive thought leadership and opinion placements.
  • Experience in managing press conferences, media crises, and executive communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Highly strategic, with strong analytical and storytelling capabilities.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills; thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Comfortable working across both long-term brand strategies and day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Digital-savvy with an understanding of social media dynamics and influencer ecosystems.
