We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web-based applications and APIs. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define test strategies, build robust automation frameworks, and maintain high-quality standards across releases. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of manual testing expertise and automation proficiency, with hands-on experience in Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and a deep understanding of REST APIs and API testing.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright for web applications
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable test scripts using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Perform comprehensive manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Plan and execute API testing for RESTful services using appropriate tools and frameworks
• Validate API responses, payloads, error handling, and performance against specifications
• Collaborate with developers during the SDLC to identify test scenarios early and prevent defects
• Review product requirements, technical designs, and user stories to ensure test coverage
• Identify, log, and track defects clearly, working closely with engineering teams for timely resolution
• Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and test execution reports
• Continuously improve test automation coverage and testing processes
• Ensure quality best practices are followed across releases and environments
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to building strong QA standards within the team

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance across manual and automation testing
• Strong experience with Playwright for browser automation
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for writing automation frameworks and test scripts
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and extensive experience in API testing
• Strong fundamentals of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and execution
• Experience working with automation frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and agile methodologies
• Ability to analyze complex systems and identify edge cases and risk areas
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Good to Have

• Experience with performance or security testing
• Exposure to cloud-based applications or microservices architecture
• Prior experience in mentoring or leading QA initiatives
