About the Role
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll lead end-to-end quality initiatives for complex software systems powering large-scale digital experiences. You will craft robust test strategies, integrate testing into CI/CD, and partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to ensure resilient releases and exceptional reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive Test Plans and detailed Test Cases from product requirements, tech specs, and risk assessments
- Implement and maintain API testing strategies; validate backend services using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or similar
- Integrate automated and manual tests into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to understand architecture, identify risks, and ensure coverage of critical paths
- Analyze test results; document defects with precision; manage issues in JIRA or similar systems
- Advocate QA best practices; mentor junior engineers; drive continuous improvement of testing processes
- Explore edge cases, failure modes, and system behaviors under varying conditions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies; contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives

About You
Qualifications & Skills
- 5–7 years of relevant QA experience designing and executing Test Plans and Test Cases
- Strong proficiency writing and maintaining test scripts in JavaScript; Python or Java is a plus
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium, or similar
- Solid understanding of API testing methodologies and tools (Postman, REST-assured, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines; understanding of DevOps principles
- Demonstrated experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and applying Agile testing practices
- Proficiency with JIRA or equivalent tools for defect tracking and test management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration
- Curiosity-driven and proactive mindset; ability to question assumptions and dive deep into system behavior
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and balance multiple tasks effectively
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of API contract testing, performance testing, and basic security testing
- Experience with cloud-native testing environments
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Exposure to test data management for complex systems
- Contributions to QA communities, blogs, or open-source projects.
