Quality Assurance Engineer (12-month contract)

The role 

As a QA Engineer, you’ll join our growing Technology team and play a key role in improving product quality across both our current platform and new solutions under development. You’ll work closely with engineers, BAs, and other stakeholders, balancing hands-on automation with thoughtful manual testing. 

This role suits someone with a strong QA mindset, solid automation experience, and the curiosity to explore new tools, approaches, and ways of working as we evolve. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Verifying delivered software, features, and functionality 

• Working within a Scrum team across both automated and manual testing 

• Collaborating closely with Engineers, BAs, and stakeholders 

• Assisting and coaching other teams on ad-hoc testing requests 

• Performing SIT, functional, end-to-end, and regression testing 

• Detecting, logging, and owning issues and defects through to resolution 

• Writing manual test cases and contributing automated tests to existing frameworks (Selenium / Playwright with C#) 

• Executing tests across frontend and backend layers 

• Testing web applications across multiple browsers and platforms 

• Creating and maintaining test data for automation 

• Technical scripting for data validation, log checking, and test automation development 

• Documenting test artefacts, plans, and outcomes

Requirements

What you bring 

• 4–6 years’ experience in automated testing, with a strong focus on browser automation (Playwright) 

• Exposure to C# or Java 

• API testing experience, both manual and automated 

• Strong manual testing experience including regression, functional, and exploratory testing 

• Experience writing test cases from user stories 

• SQL querying experience 

• Experience preparing test plans 

• Strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset 

Nice to have: 

• Performance testing experience using k6 

• Cross-browser testing tools such as LambdaTest or Perfecto 

• PDF testing tools such as Applitools 

• GitHub experience
