Responsible to:

  • Follow and comply with Cube Management System (CMS)
  • Support the Quality Management system.
  • Ensure that all shift personnel are trained as per the customers and Plant quality requirements.
  • Conduct Product Operation standards and Approving New Packing Layouts
  • Overseeing the introduction of new products, execution of product trials, and successful SKU launches.

 

Duties:

  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices, SOPs, Hygiene Policy and all QA programs through communication and training with production personnel.
  • Support the Food Safety program.
  • Approvals for the new Inserts and the New SKU’s during the Program launch for Food Service and Retail
  • First off approvals during the Part Trails and New Product Launches, along with the packaging and labelling approvals.
  • Document inspection Trial results in a clear, accurate, neat, and timely manner along with the Master samples, approvals, and signatures from the respective departments.
  • Ensure to meet all the customer requirements before the products are manufactured and function as a liaison between the Customer service and Plant Quality Department.
  • Conduct quality inspection of parts, processes, and systems to ensure all procedures are followed and parts meet the overall quality standards.
  • Performs and monitors quality checks in Production to ensure defects do not occur along with the dock audits.
  • Perform Random inspections on the floor to verify the Quality of the product and verify if the results are documented on the inspection sheets or related documents.
  • Required to maintain all measuring equipment in proper working order and appearance and maintaining the calibration log.
  • Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are recorded and issuing NCRs to the suppliers where necessary.
  • Identifying and communicating product quality issues to Process team and generating an improvement plan
  • Conduct inspections of WIP products, identify accordingly in the production area, input inventory into ERP system, and print and apply barcode labels accordingly if necessary.
  • Identify poor workmanship, material defects and incorrect packing of parts - notify appropriate personnel of manufacturing quality issues.
  • Train Quality Technicians and Production Associates on product quality requirements
  • Required to maintain control of all non-conforming material, segregation, and completion of hold tags.
  • Preparation of SOPs in accordance with Quality System requirements
  • Required to participate in all internal and external audits as needed.
  • Required to maintain good housekeeping (5S) principles surrounding the QA workstation.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested by Quality Manager

 

Education/Experience

  • University Degree or College Diploma related to Quality Assurance and relevant 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Control (e.g., ASQ).
  • AIB or Food Safety Certification an asset
  • Must have ISO, IATF or TS and Internal Audits experience.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and ability to analyze data
  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and procedures
  • Minimum of 3 years’ Experience in injection molding products and processes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and Familiarity with quality control tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, NPN, ECN).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in using MS Office Tools and to run Capability charts in Minitab.
  • Knowledge on ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Plex Manufacturing, Epicor ERP)

  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for long periods of time.
