Summary of the role:
Actively contributing in achieving the accounting/ finance department’s objectives by executing and solving related daily tasks with a strong attention to details and by respecting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
The roles will manage General ledger process within Centre of Excellence (COE) focusing on Intercompany and Project reporting.
- General Accounting Management:
- Oversee general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
- Perform closing tasks of the process with accuracy and respecting deadlines; extending to GL, analysis on other sub processes as required
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards. Contributing to building and continuously improving GL process
- General Ledger Process:
- Perform IC transactions posting and reconciling with defined deadline for the assigned portfolio.
- Manage project-related postings, reconciliations, and reporting in line with group policies.
- Review and provide data and information for periodic management reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries about the related process.
- Other accounting tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a major in accounting
- 2 to 4 years of related experience, experience in a public accounting and a commodity trading company is preferable but not required
- English fluency is a "must have"
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Accounting software.
- Understanding and practice of US GAAP and IFRS
