Regional Head of Art
Sperasoft is seeking a Regional Head of Art to manage our art department’s structure and expertise. You will partner with Art Directors and project leads to ensure effective coverage across all production disciplines and maintain high quality standards for our clients. Your role involves mentoring senior leadership, overseeing art-related estimations for new opportunities, and implementing best practices across the department. Responsibilities:
- Department Structure: Support the structure of Art Directors, Leads, and SMEs to ensure expertise coverage across all art production disciplines
- Quality Oversight: Oversee art-related projects and final deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements and internal quality criteria
- Talent Management: Act as the manager for Art Directors and Associate Art Directors; define their roadmaps, goals, and provide mentorship
- Pre-sales & Estimation: Oversee the art estimation process for new opportunities and scope changes in existing projects
- Client Interaction: Enable the department's top talent to interact effectively with clients and support pitch preparations
- Standards & Processes: Set and maintain department standards, audit internal processes, and ensure development workflows fit specific project needs
- Department Culture: Host regular meetings to communicate strategy and foster a learning environment through knowledge sharing and internal events
Requirements
- Leadership: Proven track record in a senior art leadership role within the AAA games industry
- Strategic Planning: Ability to define department structures, grades, and skill sets for art disciplines
- Management: Strong background in mentoring Art Directors and managing senior-level talent
- Operations: Experience in project estimation, budget oversight, and refining production workflows
- Communication: High proficiency in English for client-facing calls and internal strategy
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of modern engines, tools, and hardware requirements for art production
